Google Stop Showing Adverts To People Who Don't Click Them

Google are testing out a new way of displaying adverts on their search results pages. It turns out, According to a post at webmasterworld, That if a user makes multiple searches, But clicks no adverts, The adverts that would appear at the top of the page in the blue box are moved to the right to make more room for the organic results.

This is a pretty good move by google. It means if a user has no intention of clicking an advert they will not be shown them. Advertisers will also like this because it means they wont be paying for visitors who have clicked out of frustration of not being able to find what they want.

At present i believe this feature only exists on a few datacenters, I tried earlier by searching the term "SEO" and after 5 searches of the same term the adverts at the top of the page were removed.

Where's the evidence? Just because someone on the internet says it's true -- does NOT make it true. Google currently doesn't work like this, and I've yet to see any hard facts promoting the rumor that it will.

Have a look for yourself. Go to Google, Type a search phrase, Click search a few times and see if the blue box containing sponsored links at the top dissapears.

I'm not seeing it either. The only time the sponsored ads disappeared it looked like it was because of the query I used. Only on the same queiries were the ads not present.

Otherwise they were always there. It would make sense though for Google to ecperiment with this. If people aren't clicking ads then maybe they'll get annoyed in time seeing them.

It still does it for me. It does it after about 5-6 search queries, You also need cookies enabled.

The ads on the right are still there, But the sponsored results in the blue box dissapear.

Interestingly, Before it removes those adverts fully, It usually increases the amount of adverts in the blue box.
